*****

On this page you will find links to all past articles on Littlest Souls.

Of your charity, please consider saying a prayer for the author/compiler, who has decided to retire from writing indefinitely, so as to focus on more pressing matters. God willing, I will return some day to writing a book that I started working on many years ago.

I will try to check the site every now and then for possible comments.
To all readers/followers/supporters, thank you, and God bless!

5 thoughts on “Littlest Souls Archive (2012 – 2020)

  1. Final Suggestion: I forgot to mention another amazing book that has helped me sew into my spirit, truths in order to suffer well or try to anyway: Please do yourself a favor and read this amazing book “Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence, The Secret of Peace and Happiness by Father Jean Baptiste, Saint-Jure, S.J. and Saint Claude De La Colombiere, S.J.. In loving service to Christ.

  2. I hadn’t realized that you had ever replied to the original message I sent you. Forgive me, I have just now read it for the first time. I will of course remember you in my prayers and ask that you continue also to pray for me. God bless.

  3. Thanks be to God! I’ll share a few more quotes with you at the bottom of this comment (I hope to use some of these quotes in a book one day).

I would love to continue to writing, but it is not feasible at present, unfortunately. God willing, I will return to it some day. In the meantime, I continue to gather up resources when I come by them.

Have a blessed Lent, Angela! I’ll invoke St. Angela on your behalf during these days of “extreme love and mercy” (Our Lady to Luigina Sinapi). Please keep me in your prayers also.

“Howsoever thou mayest discourse, thou canst not find any sin, any disease of the soul, for the which I have not brought the true medicine and given sufficient satisfaction for all sinners…” (Our Lord to St. Angela of Foligno)

“Although no sin is absolutely unpardonable, those who sin against the Holy Ghost stubbornly resist the influence of grace and do not wish to repent. Hence their sin cannot be forgiven them.” (Cardinal Henry Manning, Sin and Its Consequences)

Our Lady to St. Bridget of Sweden: “… it is the true faith and the perfect truth that if a
person, at the devil’s instigation, had committed every sin against God and then, with true contrition and the purpose of amendment, truly repented these sins and humbly, with burning love, asked God for mercy, there is no doubt that the kind and merciful God himself would immediately be as ready to receive that person back into his grace with great joy and happiness as would be a loving father who saw returning to him his only, dearly beloved son, now freed from a great scandal and a most shameful death.” (Book 7, Ch 7)

Another selection from St. Bridge of Sweden: “‘Tell me,” said Our Lady (to a demon), “could anyone be so wicked and so corrupted that he could not repent while he is alive?”
“There is no one,” replied the demon “who cannot do so if he will, by means of grace. When a sinner of any kind changes his evil will into good will, not all the demons in Hell can prevent him.”

St. Crescentia: “I rest entirely safe in the goodness and Blood of my Beloved. I acknowledge that I have often offended my God, but I will not offend Him by not hoping in Him; and therefore I do not entertain the least distrust in His inexhaustible goodness and in His fidelity to His promises. Nay, even if I alone had committed all the sins of all mankind, I would still rely on the infinite value of the Blood of Christ. I would then immerse my sins in the wounds of my Redeemer, believing that I could not do Him a greater honour than by putting the greatest trust in Him, notwithstanding my being the greatest sinner. I know, indeed, that God deserves to be loved for His justice as well as for His love; yet, I gather all my sins together, in the abyss of my nothingness, and cast them into the abyss of the divine mercy.”

Bl. Henry Suso: “God is such an inexhaustible wellspring of boundless mercy and natural
goodness that never was there a devoted mother who as willingly stretched out her hand to her own child that she had carried under her heart, seeing it in a raging fire, as God does to the penitent, even if it were possible that he had the sins of all men himself and committed them a thousand times every day.”

From the Life of St. Lydwina of Schiedam: “At Schiedam a woman was the victim of such scruples, and was so disturbed by them that she always lived in a state of confusion, and was ready to fall into despair at any moment. The devil completely deranged her by showing her, during her sleep, a written word of a certain sin, which she had, nevertheless, confessed.
‘Thou mayest indeed have received absolution and accomplished the penance imposed, but this sin cannot be forgiven in this world or the next,’ he cried; ‘to whichever side thou turnest thyself, thou art damned.’
The woman was dying of terror, when an inner voice said to her: ‘Run to Lydwine.’
She rushed, like a hunted animal, to the Saint’s house and there melted into tears, crying out that she was a lost soul.
‘This writ with which the spirit of darkness threatens you is a lie,’ Lydwine assured her. ‘I
will pray to the Lord to suppress it; be reassured and do not think of it again.’
Directly [after] the woman had gone out, Lydwine begged Heaven to free her from the infernal snare; and at the same moment she was thrown into an ecstasy and saw the Blessed Virgin take the writing from the hands of Satan and destroy it.
When she came to herself, the torn pieces of parchment littered her bed; her confessor, Jan Walter, whom she called in, examined them, and the woman was exonerated.”

  4. I don’t know you, but I am saddened you will not be adding to this blog anymore. You have no idea how much one of your blogs (The seemingly unforgiveable sin) helped me. I still read it very regularly and cling to the citations in there. God’s grace, a wonderful Confessor, and your post on the seemingly unforgivable sin were exactly what was needed. Thank you and God bless you.
